First off, don't let the extremely boring covers of this series put you off, theyre very good stories. Just lousy covers.This one involves a Mexican-Irish lass who is literally found sitting in the middle of the road on her trunk and is picked up by a man on his way home from Civil War reconstruction. Need I say, on the union side. And she's rebel.
He cant just leave her there (and she wont go home as she's afraid of being sent to a convent after a near disastrous elopement) so he takes her with him to Pennsylvania to her supposed "Aunt" in Virginia.
Meanwhile love has other plans.....and scrapes...and adventure.
